We got married!

I'm finally getting some pictures back from the day. (I felt bad posting before I had a few pictures!) :)

Jason and I got married last Saturday! Here are a few pictures from the day.

Here I am...waiting for the taxi to arrive and take us to the gazebo for pictures. The taxi service was HORRIBLE for the day...most times we had to wait at least 25-30 minutes for a taxi to arrive. When you have places to be for a wedding, that's bad news! :) However, we were able to take some very cool pictures on Main St. while we waited for the next available taxi.

They thought it would be a great idea to get pictures of me walking up the stairs. Trust me, this looks more graceful than I felt!!! :)

Kristi and me...

Another angle...(any guesses on who sent me these pictures?? Haha!)

I don't know if you can tell from these pictures what the weather is doing, but at this point, it's cloudy but not raining. We had gotten a phone call the day before from the parks department saying that it was forecasted to rain the afternoon of our wedding and they offered us another place to get married. All other reports we heard were not forecasting rain, so we stuck with the original plan.

Of course, about 30 minutes after these pictures were taken, the heavens opened and it rained for the rest of the afternoon. :) (It's good luck for it to rain on your wedding day, right??)

We opted for Plan B and got married in a cute church on the main street. While it wasn't quite what we expected, it all worked out and we got married! :) I'll post more stories as I receive more pictures!

Here's a picture of Jason and me cutting our cake at the wedding reception. We had the reception at a restaurant on the island. They had everything set up BEAUTIFULLY and I think everyone had a good time! :) Oh, and this cake was AMAZING! Annie (of Annie's Cakes) did an incredible job on the cake...both decorating and baking! It was one of the best cakes I have ever eaten! We had three flavors: The bottom later was Red Velvet, the middle layer was traditional white, and the top layer was chocolate. YUM!
